HoodRich, a tower-trading game built on Robinhood Chain, opens to players on October 2. The project has spent the past week walking its audience through the rules on X, and the full docs are now public on its site.
What is launching
The game is a map of 33 towers named after the world’s biggest companies, split into four classes. Legends such as Nvidia and Apple start at 100,000 $RICH. Companies such as Stripe and Notion start at 10,000. “At launch, all of them are up for grabs at their starting price,” the team wrote on X on October 1.
Any tower can be bought at its listed price at any time, and the owner has no way to block the sale. Each sale lifts the price by 30%. A seller who is bought out within 24 hours receives their money back plus 15%.
Where the money moves
According to the docs, a tower bought at 100 and resold at 130 pays 115 to the previous owner, 9 to all tower owners in the city, 5 to a prize pool called the Vault, and burns 1.
The first sale of each tower works differently, because there is no previous owner to pay. Of that price, 45% is burned and 48.1% goes to the Vault. If all 33 towers are bought once, 562,500 $RICH is burned and the Vault holds 601,250 before a single resale.
A timer over the city
The Vault runs on a 24-hour countdown that starts with the first purchase. Every sale adds an hour, up to the 24-hour cap. When the countdown ends, the last buyer takes half the Vault, owners share 20%, and 30% carries into the next round.
No admin keys
The docs state that the contract has no owner and no admin functions, and that the team holds no treasury. The website is described as a window into the contract. The game would keep running through a block explorer if the site went offline.
The downside
The project is open about the risk. A tower that is not resold within 24 hours loses 10% of its price each day, down to its starting price at the lowest. A late buyer can end up with less than they paid. The docs describe HoodRich as a game, not an investment.
